Leaving New England

I wasn't really sure why or how I was leaving, but it seemed to be the only direction that I could figure out.

I had felt stuck for the better part of 2018 and following my Reiki attunement in January, as well as a Shamanic energetic extraction, I suddenly became unstuck. The cards seemed to be lining up for travel and I felt pulled to head back to Austin for a bit. The things that would have held us back from travel were no longer an issue. Our beloved Squidgy had died shortly before we left and that was the last piece holding us there.

I had two goals for the trip. 1) Hit up every possible kid's museum on our path and 2) spend time in Tennessee and New Orleans.

The first part of the trip wasn't exciting. Random stops in CT, PA, NY, and VA.

We had to stop in Hartford before we left.

Then we relaxed at a hotel in Fishkill, NY for that evening. Pools and waffles were a top priority for any hotel that we stayed at.

The next day we drive through Virginia and checked out a cute history museum.

That stretch was honestly kind of a bore and I was feeling a ton of anxiety about the trip.

The nights in hotels were so much fun and were one of my favorite parts of the trip. We were approaching Tennessee and I knew that we'd enjoy our time there.
